More photos, starting with Vulkan!
Now we get the images of the seminars.
Above images courtesy Garro from the Horus Heresy Forums.
More coming in a couple hours. More Vulkan
More news from The Horus Heresy Weekender.
This time from BoLS:
DrLove42 on the BoLS Forum writes:
ForgeWorld General Info
-Prospero has been pushed back 1-2 years.
-Don't expect Skitari anytime soon
- Expect other auxillary forces with future books, like Spire Guard for Prospero and Calth Defence (and Word Bearers cultists) for Calth
-Mechanicus Knight Titan is in the works
-The new transport and Basilisk are for the Imperial army Solar Auxillary.
-They actually said this will be the least Mariney book of the entire series. They will be there, but won't get much new. Instead it will be Imp Army, Mechanicus and Knights taking centre stage.
I am very interested in the stats of that last transport. Hopefully it is even better than a Chimera. Looks very well armoured as well as packing a punch.
The new Terminator Captain is revealed!
And new releases in the form of a Space Marine Strike Force and Militarum Tempestus Storm Scions. All in the new White Dwarf.
The Lord Inquisitor has a new video!
The folks working on The Lord Inquisitor have been very busy and have offered up a fresh teaser trailer. It looks amazing, to say the least. Subscribe to their YouTube page, follow them on Facebook, and stick with Apocalypse 40k to learn the latest developments.
A new Tyranid creature is coming from Forge World.
Spotted in the new Forge World bulletin # 22.
Check it out here.
(Slowly getting back in the saddle)
The Mechanicum gets Siege support!
And it comes in the form of a new big kit from Forge World!
The Thanatar’s frame, built to accommodate the huge weapon and the power systems and fuel reserves required to supply it, is considerably larger than even the hulking Castellax. Its frame is also heavily reinforced, both to withstand the stresses of firing its principal weapon and protect it from incoming attacks. This factor, alongside the use of an atomantic shielding array, make Thanatars notoriously durable, and such is their resilience they are beyond the ability of most small arms, no matter how advanced, to harm.
The Thanatar Siege-automata is a complete multi-part resin kit, designed by Will Hayes. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Monday 30th June.
So stay tuned. And oh, the new Forge World Bulletin came out and here is your tidbit:
Forgeworld - Salamanders Legion Firedrakes
Salamanders Legion Firedrakes
The elite of the Salamanders Legion are those Legionaries known as the Firedrakes; veterans chosen not simply for their martial skill, but also because of their mental resilience and capacity for discipline and self-sacrifice; for these are values the Promethean Cult holds in high esteem. Tried and tempered in the flames of war, just as a blade is tempered in the flames of the forge, the Firedrakes are indefatigable and relentless, possessing a singular focus in battle which borders on the preternatural and legendary resilience; a matter as much to do with their phenomenal willpower as their superhuman physiology or superlatively fashioned arms and armour.
The Salamanders Legion Firedrakes are a complete multi-part resin kit, armed with thunderhammers and dragonscale pattern storm shields, designed by Keith Robertson. This kit is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Wednesday 30th July.£45.00 (for 5 models)
There are two tile designs in the set, three of each, which are inspired by the war torn streets of an Imperial city. They can be arranged in any number of different ways to produce an almost endless variety of combinations, with streets large enough to accommodate a Baneblade (see image gallery above). The Realm of Battle: Sector Imperialis gaming board is supplied with its own carry-bag so that is it portable and easy to store.
New goodies from Forge World!
Come see! Forge World just released the new product line-up for this year's 40K open day, and there is something for everyone!
First up is the new Primarch Vulkan Model, which we saw back in May, but is still impressive regardless.
Next up is the new Cerastus Knight Castigator that is pictured above top, and then the newest big baddie on the block the Tyranid Dimachaeron!
This guy is the new "featured" baddie in Imperial Armor IV The Anphelion Project since the first big bug they featured in there, the Trygon, is now a plastic kit.
I'm stoked to see if they rework all the Red Scorpions sculpts as well, because they made their debut in that book as well!
Switching back to the Horus Heresy we're getting the possessed Gal Vorbek models that are a staple of some 30k lists.
That's it from the resin gods!
Kill, die repeat.
GW just annouced a new event.
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October 2014
Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK
Warhammer Fest is a celebration of everything about the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000; the miniatures, the backgrounds, the stories and the games. Whatever you love about the hobby, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Games Workshop’s largest event of 2014.
At Warhammer Fest you’ll encounter fantastic miniatures displays, seminars by our design teams, in-depth hobby demonstrations and inspiring Design Studio displays.
You’ll also be able to pick up the latest releases from Games Workshop, Forge World and Black Library, including many items available for the first time over the weekend, along with exclusive event only merchandise. Things to See and Do
Demo Pods, Talks and Demonstrations
A brand new feature for our events! Demo Pods are dedicated areas spread throughout the venue, each with a busy schedule of diverse activities, talks and demonstrations. The limited number of places set aside for each means you can get the most out of the experience, so why not plan your day around a specific feature, such as painting demonstrations or gaming tactics, or enjoy a series of presentations covering a range of subjects.
Focusing on specific topics with panels of experts, our seminars are always popular. So popular that we’ll be running more at Warhammer Fest than at any previous event! To give you as much opportunity to go to the seminars as possible, we’ll be repeating certain ones each day, so you can choose to attend them when it best suits your plans.
Forge World Seminars
Black Library Seminars
Games Workshop Seminars
Black Library, Forge World and the Games Workshop Design Studios will all have areas at Warhammer Fest so you can meet the dedicated teams that bring to life the worlds we all love. The miniatures we love today have a rich history behind them, so dig into the Games Workshop Archives with us to see how they’ve developed over the years. We’ll have a variety of displays on show so you can get nostalgic over classic miniatures, art and publications, and debate with your mates about your old favourites.
Things to take Home
