Forge World New Horus Heresy Releases

Forge World continues to release new infantry models for the Horus Heresy.  This time the Sons of Horus Reaver squad and Mk II, III and IV Despoiler Squads.

From Forge World:

Sons of Horus Reaver Squad

Reaver squads in many ways epitomised the Sons of Horus Legion’s way of war. Heavily influenced by the tactics used in the incessant tribal warfare of Cthonia, Reaver units specialised in lightning-swift assaults which maimed and disabled their foes; striking down leaders, and mercilessly cutting down any who were weak or isolated. Each Reaver unit, whether squad or entire company in strength, was effectively a warband in its own right, and its warriors fought more as individuals than regimented soldiers, and all were utterly lethal against the enemies of Mankind during the Great Crusade.

The Sons of Horus Reaver Squad, designed by Alfonso Giraldes, is a multi-part resin kit containing five incredibly detailed Space Marines, five bolt pistols, five chain axes, a power fist, a hand flamer, five helmeted heads and one Sergeant head. This kit is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 2nd August.

Mk II Despoilers
Mk II, III and IV Despoiler Squads

If fighting is expected to be at close quarters, such as in boarding actions or trench clearance, Tactical squads can sometimes forgo the standard bolter in favour of the combination of a bolt pistol and chainsword, allowing the Astartes more manoeuvrability in whatever tight confines they may find themselves in. These more assault orientated units are referred to as Despoiler Squads within the Legiones Astartes.

The Mk II, Mk III and Mk IV Despoiler Squads, designed by Will Hayes, are complete multi-part resin kits comprising five Space Marines armed with bolt pistols and chainswords. All three kits are available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 2nd August.

Space Hulk: Pre-order Details Announced

Photos courtesy of Steampowered.com
The Space Hulk video game is now up for pre order. It'll be out on PC/Mac on August 15th and later this year on the iPad.

via GW: "If fighting in claustrophobic corridors against a terrifying alien menace is your cup of tea then today is going to be a very good day for you because the Space Hulk computer game is now available to pre-order for your PC via Steam.

The game's developers at Full Control have been working tirelessly to bring this stunning game to life, the result being an accurate recreation of the Space Hulk board game. Every minute detail has been faithfully recreated, from the pipes and vents on the walls, to the icons and purity seals hanging from the character's armour, to the alien Genestealers.

There are two cool bonuses if you pre-order the game too - a relic banner pole and a Hive Fleet Kraken Genestealer skin, both of which you can see above. The game is scheduled for release on August 15th, so you don't have long to wait before you can start blasting chunks of Genestealer up the walls (or tear open Terminators if you prefer to play as the xenos scum), and it features both single-player and multi-player modes."

After how great XCOM: Enemy Unknown turned out, I'm really excited for this. By the looks of it, it's been done much in the same vein. If you want to lay down a pre-order, you can check it out here.

Gamesday Report - New Space Marine Flyer!

Gamesday attendees got their first look at the Fire Raptor Space Marine Flyer from Forge World.  It looks like a gunship version of the Storm Raven.

Armed with a chin mounted Avenger Canon and two twinlinked side mounted Heavy Bolters, this baby is in their for close air support.

John Owens, our Gamesday correspondent, filed these photos and spoke with Simon WIlliamson.  Simon said he just finished work on the Fire Raptor and we should expect to see it January/February as the Forge World team usually takes about 6 months for a mold to be made and stock to be built up for release.

As I always buy my aircraft in 3's, I think I will be needing to save up some coin.

And thanks to John for his hard work today. All the rest of the Forge World Previews will be up tomorrow.

Gamesday 2013 was yesterday in Memphis, and Forge World was there in force as usual.
John Owens, our Gamesday correspondent, sent us these photos.

John Owens, our Gamesday correspondent, filed this report.  The new Space Marine Battle Tank has a name now, the Sicaran Battle Tank, and we got to see it painted.  We also saw the Castellax Battle Automata for the first time, and it is a beauty!  New Contemptors for the Iron Hands and Sons of Horus.

Games Day Quick Interviews

John Owens got to chat with Jeremy Vetock and Simon WIlliamson.  Here are some quick questions and answers for you all.

Jeremy Vetock

Who decides what rules are in a codex or army book?

Jeremy: Up until Lizardmen, it was a a group of play testers and the writers.  Now, the books are going to be handled by a "rules team" headed by Jervis Johnson. (Note: this is now a dedicated team for a rule sets.)

As the lead writer of a book, with your name under the title, what exactly is your role?

Jeremy: I [we] am the lead writer, production manager that gets to bring it all together.  We sometimes cant include everything that we want, sometimes we have to remove or add based on models.

What is your next upcoming project?

Jeremy: [laughs] Lizardmen.  These projects take about a year to complete.  Lizardmen have been done since last year.

How does Games Workshop decide who writes codexes and army books?

Jeremy: we pretty much fight for it, when projects come up.

Simon Williamson

What is your current project?

Simon: I literally just finished the Fire Raptor.

Do you get to choose your projects?

Simon: Not really, it is whatever the boss puts down i  front of me.

How do you begin the project, from sketches or lore?

Simon: usually the idea is pitched before, we then make sketches and star building it out of high density foam.  This takes about 2-3 months before approval.  Then it takes about 6 months for a mold to be made and the first batch of stock to build up.

How long before we see the new Sicaran tank released?

Simon: about 7-8 weeks

How long before the Fire Raptor is released?

Simon: quite awhile.

John notes that following his formula, the molds and stock level will be built up and for sale approximately around January/February and the Sicaran Tank around late September early October.

Thanks to John Owen for the wonderful coverage of Gamesday!

Forge World and the New Eldar Codex

My buddy Ryan Bell is an Eldar player and contacted Forge World when the new Eldar codex came out.  The questions are relevant to all Eldar players.

Dear Forge World:

With the release of 40k v6 and the new Eldar codex, will there be an update/clarification to the Eldar rules presented in IMPERIAL ARMOUR VOLUME ELEVEN - THE DOOM OF MYMEARA?

Specifically:

1. Farseer Bel-Annath states that if taken, you cannot include any other farseers in your army.  40k6 ed. indicates that detachments are separate armies.  Can you take a farseer in another detachment if Bel Annath is included in another detachment, IE an allied detachment?

2.  Similarly, the Wraithseer.  Can it be taken in an allied detachment?

3.  Do Corsair Jetbikes fulfill the minimum corsair warrior requirement for WASP Assault Walkers?

Response from Forge World:

Hi,
Thank you for your email.  We are working on an update to bring the Eldar rules from IA 11 up to date with the new Eldar Codex.  however, this is quite an involved task and it is likely to be a few months before this appear in the downloads section of the website.

What you can do, is where the weapons and rules appear in both IA 11 and the new Eldar codex, just use the rules from the new codex until the update appears.

1.  You cannot take any other farseers if you take Bel-annath, even in an allied detachment.

2.  You can take a Wraithseer in an allied detachment, so long as the detachment also has at least one unit of Wraithguard, plus a non Wraitherseer HQ choice as well.

3.  You have to field Corsair Squads in order to field Wasp assault Walkers, the Corsair Jetbikes don't count.

Hope that helps!

Vulkan Lives!  The latest in the Horus Heresy series, has been released and it promises to be epic!

From The Black Library:

In the wake of the Dropsite Massacre at Isstvan V, the survivors of the Salamanders Legion searched long and hard for their fallen primarch, but to no avail. Little did they know that while Vulkan might have wished himself dead, he lives still... languishing in a hidden cell for the entertainment of a cruel jailer, his brother Konrad Curze. Enduring a series of hellish tortures designed to break his body and spirit, Vulkan witnesses the depths of the Night Haunter's depravity, but also discovers something else - a revelation that could change the course of the entire war.

You can order Vulkan Lives from The Black Library, or pick it up in its deluxe hardcover edition from Games Workshop's website or any of their stores.

I for one have been collecting every Horus Heresy book in their small paperback form since "Horus Rising", but I also started collecting the hardcover editions as I am a book collector.  They do look impressive on one's shelf. Of course, now I need to buy the eBook as well as I have an iPad and it really is the best way to read it since you have to wait MONTHS for the small, mass market paperback to come out.

Forge World Apocalypse Book Released

$

Forge World has released their new, updated Apocalypse book and you can order it now from their website.
Being an Apocalypse nut, this is a welcome volume as Second Edition Apocalypse changes everything.

From Forge World:

Imperial Armour: Apocalypse is the ultimate reference for using Forge World's extensive range of tanks, aircraft, fortifications and gargantuan creatures in cataclysmic games of Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse. Contained within this tome are over 75 updated unit profiles, ready to be added to armies for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse, as well as 16 Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse Formations, and additional rules and options for the immense Tyranid Hierophant Bio-Titan. From the hideously warped Chaos Reaver and Warhound Titans and the sprawling precincts of the Necron City of the Dead, to the lightning-fast Eldar Hornet, this book contains vital additions to the arsenal of every major faction embroiled in the eternal war for control of the galaxy.

Also included is an entire new War Zone for use with the Warhammer 40,000 rules, War Zone: Vraks. Charting the course of the bloody wars that followed the apostate Cardinal Xaphan's conquest of the Imperial fortress world of Vraks, this war zone includes three full Apocalypse missions, as well as character profiles and Finest Hours for the war's key participants, and Strategic Assets and Unnatural Disasters unique to the Vraks conflict.

This book is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday 9th August. To celebrate the launch of Imperial Armour: Apocalypse, we also have a range of Battle Formation bundles available.

REAL BUNDLE DEALS!

Forge World is also putting package deals together where you can buy all you need for a specific formation AT A DISCOUNT.  That is right.  Unlike parent GW, who offers NO discount on their formation bundles, Forge World knows that if you want someone to buy a lot of stuff, it is much more likely to happen if you offer the person more than less clicks of their mouse.

You save £125 on a Ventarii Titan Maniple when you buy it as a package.

Just another reason that Forge World continues to have extreme customer loyalty.  They really do care about their customers, and show it not only in their passion for their product (like the GW design studio has of course), but their business sense is very pro-gamer, unlike Games Workkshop corporate, which wouldn't even discount their Apocalypse Formation bundles.

You save £40 on a Hellraker Assault Battery when you buy it as a package.

Thanks to my good buddy Kyle Kinghorn of Battlefoam, my copy of Apocalypse should be at my place today!  He got it for me at Games Day and shipped it to me the day he got back.  Thanks buddy!

More to follow.

New Space Marine Rumors

$

New Space Marine Rumors hit the web.  And things are looking interesting for the majority of 40K players who play the Angels of Death!

The interesting thing will be how GW fixes the sad truth.  Vanilla Space Marines pretty much suck.  Well, thanks to Best_Pone, the ever stalwart rumor monger.

From Best_Pone on Warseer

Up for release in September is the new Codex: Space Marines.

- There will be 7 Ltd Ed varients. 6 of these will be covers for First Founding chapters, whilst the 7th will have Black Templars on the cover.

- New weapon family: Grav weapons. I believe these wound against the armour save (so terminators would be wounded as if they had a toughness of 2).

- First Founding chapters will be getting a substantial section each to themselves, so hopefully this can be looked as as Codex: Space Marines instead of Codex: Ultramarines. This will also show in a rule called Chapter Tactics, for which the effects depend on the chapter being played.

- There is a new armour type that at first glance looks to be somewhere between a terminator and a dreadnought - looking more closely, it appears to go over the marine's power armour however.

- This new armour can be armed in 2 ways, depending on the user. The devastator version has either a bolter array or missile launchers mounted on the chest armour, whilst the gauntlets can be armed with heavy bolters, lascannons or grav cannons. The assault version has a bolter array or frag launchers mounted on the chest armour, with assault drills mounted on the gauntlets.

- There are 2 new AA tanks. One tank veterans will already be familiar with as the Hunter, armed an AA missile launcher. The other tank mounts 2 tri-barreled turrets instead.

- There is a new tactical squad. Lots of options as you'd expect, but of particular interest will probably be the grav pistol and grav rifle.

- A new plastic Sternguard veteran squad.

- A new plastic Vanguard veteran squad.

- New plastic characters: a captain, a librarian and a chaplain.

All good tidbits in my book.

We are a month away!

More Space Marine Rumors

$

Well, the rumors are hot and heavy.  Here is the latest, and there is a lot!

Thanks to Rick and Kyle at 40K Radio.  Two great guys, I am psyched they got great rumors!

Join their Facebook page.

This post is going to be a little of a tease but there is information to be had. I was sent pics of the new marine models this weekend and they're amazing. I promised that I will not post them and that is where the tease part comes in. I will describe the models that I have seen and can confirm some of the rumors out there.
Centurions:

The guys are a heavy support choice. They're a marine cased in heavy armor with powerfist with lascannons under slung on one pic and heavy bolters on the other. Think of a heavier terminator armor that a marine straps into. I think this is where Chaos Oblits came from. They look to be on 40mm and I'm really starting to dig these models.

Plastic Chaplain:

Like other plastic HQ's that have come out. He is armed with a Crozius and bolt pistol. He has ornate armor and he is in a dynamic pose.

Plastic Librarian:

Same as above regarding previous HQ releases. He is helmetless and he's armed with a staff. He also has a wicked cherub flying off his pack pack. I really like this model.

The Hunter:

I believe this will be anti-air rhino. Its a cross between Vindicator Heavy Armor and a whirlwind style weapon mounted on the back. It comes with two cannons that have three barrels.
Vanguard Plastic:

I saw two separate pics one armed with TH/SS and one with a pair of Lighting claws, finally. Same Marine bodies just with some new iconography to freshen up the models.

From what I have seen so far the Marine release is going to be huge for GW. Sorry about no pics but I promised.

ANOTHER MARINE UPDATE AND NEW INFO!

Centurions:
UPDATE: Comes with a grav weapon option. I've seen a picture of the back and it is a suit that a power armor marine wears.

Chaplain:
UPDATE: Chaplain comes with helmetless option that has a bionic eye option.

Hunter:

UPDATE There’s another cannon option that looks similar to the epic version. It’s a heavy cannon option, possibly shoots missiles.

Vanguard:

UPDATE: They have options for beaky, relic blades, and a bareheaded marine w/ mohawk! The Vanguard Vets are more action oriented, think of the Blood Angels Death Company sprue.

Sternguard plastics:

These models look pissed off, GW really captured the old grizzled look. Sternguard have a marine with bald head w/ beard and another mohawk head! The bolters also have the drum magazines. I have seen the following combi-weapons flamer, melta, and plasma. GW did an amazing job on this kit, I'm super pumped for this kit.

Tactical Marines:

The Armor has been updated will small studs, purity seals, and some new leg poses. These will mix really well with the current tactical squad. Missile launch backpack in the new tactical squad matches the devastator one with robo arm. There is a new arm set that has a marine loading a magazine into his bolter.

All Marine models have been painting in the following chapters: Crimson Fist, Iron Hands, and Ultramarines.

Well, thanks to Kyle and Rick at 40K Radio for all the great info!

White Scars Horus Heresy Novel Released

$
0
0

This is a 12 part novel, which The Black Library charges $ 2.99 a chapter for, so it is quite expensive.  A new chapter will be released every Wednesday.

The first chapter is available here.

From The Black Library

Of all the Legiones Astartes, the White Scars of Jaghatai Khan remain the most enigmatic and elusive. Born of a civilisation that prizes honour, speed and fearsome loyalty, their allegiance has yet remained unclear even as the galaxy is torn apart by Horus’s treachery, and both sides have apparently counted them among their potential allies in the war to come. But when the Alpha Legion launch an unexplained and simultaneous attack against the White Scars and Space Wolves, the Khan must decide once and for all whether he will stand with the Emperor or the Warmaster... or neither.

The exciting story begins in this first eBook episode of an all-new novel by Chris Wraight.

I always buy everything Horus Heresy.  This is simply the best part of the GW universe.

Latest Space Marine Info IN DETAIL.

$
0

The tidal wave of Space Marine info has started as individuals get to see the new White Dwarf.

Via Herr Dexter on Dakka

Hey guys

I managed to get a deeper look into the upcoming White Dwarf which obviously showcases the new SM stuff. I promised not to take any pictures and since my possible future early insight into WD depends on it – I won’t
Take it as you wish, but this isn’t salt – this is what exactly is coming

BOOKS:

- Codex: Space Marines with a very nice picture of badass looking Space Marine (probably best C:SM cover so far)
- confirmed the 7 limited versions
- none showed in WD, all mentioned obviously as mail-order only
- small Apocalypse Warzone will also be released (unsure if it’s digital only or not) – Damnos (see the BL book “Fall of Damnos” – basicly Necrons vs. Ultramarines)

PLASTIC KITS:

Space Marine Captain & Space Marine Librarian (2 separate clamp-packs)
- not to confuse with multi-part customizable Space Marines Commander set which should stay around
- those are like Cadre Fireblade, Aspiring Champion etc… 1 pose, plastic
- Captain has Cato Sicarius-like helmet and lots of bling, has a very similar pose to Captain from AOBR, Power Sword and Combi-Grav
- Librarian has beard (a lot of SM beards + bald heads in this release) and a skull-cap thingy wihich makes him look a bit like… Merlin
- Librarian also has a power staff (or whatever you call that) held horizontally, and one ugly herub-like servitor cupid (creepy stuff)

Reclusiam Command Squad
- not sure if this replaces SM Command Squad kit
- contains the mentioned SM Command Squad (don’t see any changes here), a plastic Chaplain and… Razorback – all for 55£
- this definetly isn’t the prettiest Chaplain model out there but it has some nice bitz, nice big skully Crozius and 2 heads – one bald with Kano-like face implant and the other is a skull helmet (looks a bit iffy)
- he also has purity seals with massive ribbons/parchments blown by the wind

Sternguard Veterans

- A W E S O M E!
- all the best elements from their old metal versions, long loincloths, tons of bling, ornaments on helmets and armor, seems to have lot of bitz
- finally we get plastic versions of combi-weapons, all seem to be here including the new Combi-Grav
- nice new plastic Heavy Flamer and Heavy Bolter (version with drum-mag)
- badass heads and poses (yap, another bald head with beard)
- sergeant has a “roman-mohawk” on his helmet (not the Sicarius one, other way around)
- 5 models in box

Vanguard Veterans
- slightly less bling then their on-foot veteran brothers
- nice ornaments on chainswords and power sword (relic/master-crafted versions?)
- mohawk head for sarge (like Lord Executioner, perhaps it’s a trend for jump-packers?)
- some nice aquila markings on jump packs
- awesome power-sword / relic blade
- not as jaw dropping as Sternguards, sadly
- 5 models in box

(NEW) Tactical Squad
- 10 models, price increased slightly (we could have seen that coming, couldn’t we?)
- not many changes here, will nicely mix with bits from old kit
- major addition is more head variants and new Grav-Gun and Grav-Pistol
- some new ornaments on backpacks and shoulder pads (not all, just few bits to make some difference among marines)
- interesting bits: Auspex is back! (but DA heralded that already), set of bolter/arms during reload (looks cool), badass Combi-Flamer, nice new (smaller) Power Fist
- I would suggest buying a box of Tactical Squad that’s currently in sale before next month (it’ll surely be gone by then) to have a wider array of bits (unless you already have tons of them)

Now let’s clear some rumors regarding new vehicles:
- NO new rhino kit, still the same, old, badly cast chassis with massive holes after you glue it  (
- NO new versions of Razorback / Predator / Whirlwind – all stays the same apparently
- NO sign of Rhino-variants (but perhaps they just differ rule-wise)
- NO “Big Walker” – forget about Dreadknight / Riptide / Wraithknight counterpart for SM (
- NO new Skimmers / Flyers (especially no sign of one that was mentioned in rumours recently)
- NO new Bikes, Landraiders or Dreadnaughts
- basically, unless I mention it as a kit above or below – it’s not getting any update / remake / new model

Stalker / Hunter
- the rumored dual-kit AA tank
- lots of new parts, side armor is massive and has some kind of pistons that seem to be pinning it to the ground
- front plate is also different from other vehicles on Rhino-chassis: Stalker / Hunter has one that looks a bit Heresy-era with a “bumper” that looks similarly to the one Landspeeder has (that belt-of-cubes bumper thing)

- Stalker is the one with dual 3-barrel autocannon-like guns, it also has a nice radar dish, really badass look
- it’s described as rapid-firing AA (guess it’s SM version of IG Hydra)
- now here’s big thing: it’s not twin-link! those are TWO SEPARATE guns that are mentioned to be able to shoot at TWO SEPARATE targets

- Hunter is the one that looks like that vintage SM Hunter tank – one massive AA turret barrel
- shoots “Skyspear Rockets” but no details on special rules here

Centurion Devastator Squad / Centurion Assault Squad
- the “Big Suits” everyone is talking about, apparently they are this release’s big spotlight
- Devastators are Heavy Support (duh!) and Assaults are… Fast Attack (what did you expect?)
- come in plastic kits, 3 models per box
- they really look like if the exoskelton is worn ON the Power Armour – their heads look super tiny
- they remind me more of power loader that Ripley piloted in Aliens movie than “child of contemptor and dread” as someone described
- they all seem to have same weapon in each hand and something mounted on the chest
- the Devastator options displayed contained Lascannons and Heavy Bolters
- the Assault options were Breaching Drills (like that arm FW’s Siege Dread has) with Stormbolters(?) attached, no other arm option shown
- the “chest weapon” apparently gave us choice of : frag lanuchers, mini-hurricane bolter (?!) and some rockets (chest mounted Typhoon ML?)
- it will take some time getting used to those models on battlefield but with their bulky simplicity they will surely be canon part of fluff in few years

That’s all I remember. Hope it will give you some idea / clear some things up

A big thank you to Herr Dexter!

I am already making my wish list.  Lots of new goodies for us Space Marine Players!

Forge World Releases Heresy Mechanicus Units

$
0
0

Forge World has released both the Castellax Battle Automate and the Magos Domius for your Mechanicum army!

From Forge World:

Castellax Battle-Automata

The most common of the widespread Castellan-type battle-automata in service, the Castellax is a general battle unit developed during the Great Crusade from its ancient forebear. Primarily intended for siege work and shock assaults, the Castellax Battle-automata is a hulking humanoid machine with a notoriously aggressive and responsive machine-spirit, and an enviable reputation on the battlefield.

The Castellax, employed in units of one to five by the Legio Cybernetica, has a standard configuration of bolter and bolt cannon armament, and is able to maintain a punishing barrage of firepower as it advances.

Designed by Will Hayes, the Castallax Battle Automata is a complete multi-part resin kit and includes a Mauler Bolt Cannon primary weapon and the choice of Bolters or Flamers as seconday weapons. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday the 30th of August

Magos Domius

The Magos of the Priesthood of Mars are the masters of much of what remains of the vast and potent secrets of the Dark Age of Technology. To them the pursuit and preservations of the arcane mysteries of science and circuit are of far greater worth than petty wealth, worldly power or the lives of their fellow men. A Magos may live for centuries, prolonging their life through arcane science and progressive cybernetic conversion, willingly becoming something other than human as they seek to fulfil the Omnissiah’s will. There are many factions and sects within the Mechanicum, divided both by technological specialisation as well as rivalry and ancient feud, each vying for power, knowledge and resources beneath the outward unity the organisation displays, shrouded as it is by impenetrable mystery and arcana.

The Magos Domius with Rad-Cleanser, designed by Mark Bedford, is a complete resin kit and includes a Magos Dominus equipped with a volkite serpenta, cortex controller, abeyant and the option of a rad/irad-cleanser or sensor skull. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday 30th August. Rules for this model can be found in our forth coming Horus Heresy book.

I am not playing Mechanicus, but these are both very cool units.

New Tactical Marines: Pictures! - UPDATED

Lo and behold the new Tactical Marines. First spotted by us on Deep Strike Radio's Facebook page, we're finally getting a look at the updated kit. Notice that every marine has a unique leg pose. It also seems that the bolter poses are slightly more dynamic as well. And for those keeping track, there are some MKIV legs in here, too. It would seem we'll see the whole suit spread across these kits. The helmet can be found in the Vanguard Veteran kit.

Check back here for more, and also check out Deep Strike Radio's Facebook page as well.

Edit: From an anonymous poster on 4chan's TG board, we now have picture proof of the reloading marine pose!

Theoretical scale from a post on 4Chan

Well the Internet has been buzzing with information about the new Space Marine Centurions. Everyone is weighing in with their opinions of the new model and even the folks who like it are scratching their heads a bit at its design. The proportions of it are a tad odd to say the least, and one has to wonder how big a marine's shoulders must be to reach into the arms. However, we now have a more official answer, and from the designer himself!
Courtesy of a source who has laid eyes on the White Dwarf:

"Andrew: One last question: where are the pilot's arms?
Dave: I knew someone would ask me that, but I have actually thought it all through! They're crossed over his chest in the front, behind that big torso-plate and the secondary weapons. And the pilot actually steps into the suit from behind. The top section hinges up - you can see the harness that straps him in - and the back of the suit opens up to allow access. At least, that's how it works in my head."

What's more, we also have a shot of the armor from the back, courtesy of Bell of Lost Souls.

As we can see from this angle, the occupant's foot ends quite a was up from the actual foot. Combine this with our new knowledge above about the hands and the scale of this model is pretty accurate. Though it would seem that if they wanted us to look into it and see, they'd have to make it quite close. I've been one of the odd ball fans of this model from the start, but this new information has sealed the deal for certain. I've gotta have some of these in my army.

But that's only the half of what we've got to show you! Bell of Lost Souls also had some fantastic new photos of the new Sternguard models as well. I have to say, I'm really quite fond of the targeters on the helmets, and fans of MKIV armor will rejoice again at the opportunity to get more in plastic, yet again, with this kit.

Wow! Some more fantastic, plastic Sternguard. I can't wait to get my hands on several of these. I'd while I'm not a huge fan of the Roman regalia that GW loves to throw all over marines, I have to admit the Sgt. head crests are growing on me.

And last, but certainly not least, a Black Templars reveal of sorts. We've had all kinds of posts saying they'd be in the new codex, but now visual evidence. This one comes to us, again, from Bell of Lost Souls. Black Templars Centurions. Also note the armored rhino front in the background. Could be a Razorback, but could also be one of the new AA tanks. Seems like BT will have access to some of the new rides as well.

Well, that's all the fresh content we have right now. Keep checking back for more as we get it and be sure to visit Bell of Lost Souls for news of these new models as well.
